According to IMD Bhopal’s scientist Arun Sharma, foggy conditions will persist which will result in the rise of 2-3°C in minimum temperatures after three days.

The weather department added, “Snowfall in Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Ladakh is bringing icy winds to Madhya Pradesh. A jet stream at 12.6 km altitude is moving at 222 km/h, further intensifying the cold. As snow starts to melt in northern regions, winds are expected to become stronger, making January colder. A cold wave is likely to last for 20-22 days.”
