Nagpur, 20 November (HS). Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that exercising the right to vote in a democracy is our national duty. To strengthen democracy, it is necessary for everyone to exercise their franchise. After voting in Nagpur, he appealed to all the voters to vote.
Voting is being held on Wednesday for 288 seats of Maharashtra Assembly. Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat voted in the Central-Nagpur assembly constituency in the morning. There is a direct contest on this seat between BJP’s Praveen Datke and Congress’ Bunty Shelke.
Sarsanghchalak was on a tour of Uttaranchal. Due to the elections, the Sarsanghchalak reached Nagpur on Tuesday night, a day before his scheduled program. This morning he cast his vote at the local Bhauji Daptari School polling station. Along with the Sarsanghchalak, former Sarkaryavah and member of the National Executive of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Suresh Upakhya Bhaiyyaji Joshi, All India Publicity Chief Sunil Ambekar, All India Contact Chief Sunil Deshpande and other prominent officials of the Sangh also voted.
