Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Police on Wednesday arrested three persons including an ex-driver of a private construction firm in connection with looting the firm’s accountant at Rachna Nagar under Govindpura police station on February 1.

Among those arrested also include an employee of the firm. Police have recovered some of the looted cash Rs 75000 from them. Two of the accused Imran and Aman are still at large, DCP added.

According to reports, an accountant at Bansal Constructions, Dattatreya Joshi told police that four miscreants on two bikes looted his bag containing cash Rs 2 lakh from him. DCP Zone-2 Sanjay Agarwal said multiple police teams were formed to crack the loot. After scanning over 300 CCTV cameras, police teams identified the culprits and traced their locations.

Following a tip off, the accused identified as the former driver with the firm Talha Khan (25) of Ashoka Garden, Mohd Naushad (32) and Amir Beg (23) of Aishbag were arrested on Wednesday. Questioning from them revealed that Talha was the mastermind of the loot. He earlier used to work as a driver at the company. He told police that a few months ago he was fired on the pretext that his car was consuming too much fuel.

Moreover, he was also not paid his one month salary. As per the plan, Amir who works at the company called the miscreants when the accountant left with the cash. The looters selected a spot with no CCTV cameras and even switched off their phones to avoid coming under surveillance.
