Donald Trump will take oath on Martin Luther King Jr Day and it will be the first time in the century that a U.S. president’s oath ceremony will be held on a holiday. Due to anticipated severe cold weather, the ceremony will be held indoors at the Capitol Rotunda instead of the traditional West Front of the U.S. Capitol Rotunda and the swearing ceremony is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).
Chief Justice John Roberts will administer the oath of office to Donald Trump, officially beginning his second, non-consecutive term. Vice President-elect JD Vance will also be sworn in during this ceremony.
