In our Indian tradition it is called Uttarayan.

The Prime Minister also refreshed his old memories. He said, ’50 years ago I had gone to Gir forest to spend time. There the government people used to give an honorarium of Rs 30 per month to a tribal child. When I asked him, he said that this child has a special kind of power. If there is a fire anywhere in the forest, this child comes to know about it. That tribal child had so much power that he could know about the fire.
