Varanasi, 26 October (H.C.). President of Shri Sankat Mochan Foundation Prof. Vishwambhar Nath Mishra said that India is the life line of the country, Ganga. For this, every citizen of the country will have to become sensitive, only then the mother Ganga will be pollution free.
Pro. Mishra was addressing the Ganga River Watch Training Workshop on Saturday. In a program organized in collaboration with Sankat Mochan Foundation, Green Australia and Australian High Commissioner New Delhi at Tulsighat, Prof. Mishra said that millions of liters of sewage is flowing daily in the country’s life -giving mother Ganga. Due to which today she is moaning from pollution. Not only the Ganges, the pools, ponds, ground water of the area around the Ganges are also getting polluted rapidly. Today there is a need to save water from being polluted. In the workshop, former Director of IIT BHU, Professor S.K. N. Upadhyay explained in detail about water quality standards. In the workshop, the Green institution’s Su Langux explained the various tests to the participants through the slide. Participants were shown by doing various tests related to water quality.
In the workshop, participants were divided into 06 groups and each group was provided with water testing equipment. These groups will test the Ganga, ponds and Bhumigst water in their area every month and get its quality information. Ganga River Watch Training Workshop will continue continuously for one year. During this time there will be testing of Ganga, Kund, Pond, Underground Water. Trained participants in the workshop will also train the other. Students from Tikri, Ramnagar, Nagwa Pushkar Talab, Raghunath and Ballia attended the workshop.
