Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal is in no mood to stop at the box office. The film took a bumper opening at the ticket windows in just three days it collected Rs. 116.50 crore. While it is was expected that on weekdays the movie will drop, it continued to do an exceptional business from Monday-Thursday as well. In seven days, the movie collected Rs. 219.25 crore which is excellent.
The film started the week two with a bang with a collection of Rs. 23.50 crore. It was expected on day 9 and 10, the movie will collect around Rs. 30 crore. On Sunday, there was India Vs Pakistan match, so Chhaava was expected to show a drop at the box office.
But, the Vicky Kaushal starrer has surprised one and all once again. According to sacnilk, on its day 9, second Saturday, Chhaava collected Rs. 44 crore, and on day 10, second Sunday, it collected approx. Rs. 40 crore. So, the 10-day total is Rs. 326.75 crore.
Chhaava has surpassed the box office collection of Padmaavat (Rs. 302.15 crore). Now, it is clear that Chhaava will enter the Rs. 400 club easily. If we just look at the Indian box office nett collection, Chhaava has entered the top 10 list.
It is expected that Chhaava will easily surpass the lifetime collection of Tiger Zinda Hai, PK, Sanju, and Dangal. But, let’s wait and watch, whether the movie will be able to beat the Rs. 500-600 crore films like Gadar 2, Pathaan, Animal, Stree 2, and Jawan.
Chhaava has become Vicky Kaushal’s highest grossing film till date. His next is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War which also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. So, with SLB directing and such a great casting heading the film, it is expected to break records at the box office.
