The Prasanna-trained Evaldo is the top contender in the Chief Minister’s Trophy, a prestigious 2000-metre race on Saturday, with a small field of just four runners. The primary competition for Evaldo will come from Satish Narredu’s Champions Way and Imran Khan’s Hyderabad challenger, Magnum. However, Evaldo holds the advantage and is likely to finish ahead of these rivals.

The highlight race, the DM Shivaswamy Memorial Trophy, is expected to be a showdown between the Narayan Gowda-trained Auspicious Queen and Dynamic Force from the Joseph stable. Based on her solid performance in her last outing, Auspicious Queen receives my final vote and looks poised to secure her long-awaited victory.
