When we look at the indices listed at the Euronext Paris, the three key major indices closed in green on Wednesday.
CAC 40
The CAC 40 index made gains closing for the day in green. The index opened at a better position than it closed, and continued on the path, making gains of 0.66 per cent or 47.86 points.
This took the overall value of the index to 7,303.28 points.
CAC Mid 60
The CAC Mid 60 index closed with better gains than the previously mentioned index.
The CAC Mid 60 closed for the day at 12,740.37. This came to pass a surge of 1.08 per cent or 136.25 points.
CAC Small
The Euronext Paris’ Index for small-cap companies also increased in value . This surge in value amounted an even bigger increase of 1.33 per cent or 135.03 points.
This took the overall value of the index to 10,299.42.
The French Turmoil

After days of negotiations, Michel Barnier, a centre-right politician was brought to the fore. His tenure, when he resigns would mark the shortest tenure by a French PM in its fifth republic.
