AIADMK leader Edappadi K. There has been a political fierce battle over Palaniswami (EPS) recent visit to Delhi. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin strongly attacked the EPS, alleging that he was absent during the discussion of the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Assembly and fought the rights of the Muslim community.

Stalin attacks EPS

Stalin claimed that the bill is an attempt to weaken the rights of Muslims, and the Muslim community across the country including Tamil Nadu is supporting the state government’s stand against the bill.

Speaking at a public event, Stalin took a sarcasm, calling the EPS visit to Delhi as suspicious,

“You all know why he was not in the assembly. In the morning, he left for Delhi quietly, without telling anyone. There he changed four vehicles, as if he joined a big scam. After that he met Amit Shah.”

Confusion among AIADMK leaders

Stalin also taunted the situation inside AIADMK and said that party leaders were nervous during the assembly session.

  • AIADMK MLAs were confused with the absence of EPS.

  • Some leaders were going out and talking on the phone again and again.

  • He also took a sarcasm on the old statements of the EPS and said,

“Earlier they used to say that AIADMK will form the next government, and now they are only talking about coming in opposition.”

What is the motive behind Delhi tour?

Political speculation about EPS’s meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah has intensified. The EPS has not yet made any clear statement about the purpose of the visit, which has given the opposition a chance to attack.

This journey of EPS will be interesting to see what will affect the politics of Tamil Nadu.
