It may be noted that for Member IDs allotted after October 1, 2017 and linked to Universal Account Number (UAN) linked to Aadhaar, employer intervention is no longer required. Similarly, for transfer between Member IDs linked to multiple UANs issued after October 1, 2017, but linked to the same Aadhaar, a simpler procedure applies…

To which account will the transfer take place?

For smooth transfer process for UAN and Member ID linked to Aadhaar linked transfer, both the accounts should have the same name, date of birth and gender before October 1, 2017. Member IDs linked to different UANs can be transferred between them, provided at least one UAN has been allotted before October 1, 2017 and is linked to the same Aadhaar number. This applies only if the name, date of birth and gender are the same in all member IDs.

How to link support?

  1. Visit EPFO ​​Member’s e-Services website
  2. Log in using your UAN, password and captcha.
  3. Go to ‘Manage’ menu and select ‘KYC’ option. Now check the box for support.
  4. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and name as it appears on your Aadhaar card.
  5. Click ‘Save’ to submit the information for verification.
  6. Your Aadhaar details will be cross-checked with UIDAI records.
  7. After verification your Aadhaar will be successfully linked to your EPF account.
