This change will make the PF transfer process easier… also the delay in transfer will be reduced and efficiency is expected to increase. EPFO has taken this step to provide great relief to those changing jobs. This work can be completed with the help of Aadhaar and other documents.
EPF account can be transferred manually

Under this, EPFO has also changed the transfer rules… Now employees can easily transfer their EPF account manually. Actually, under the recent changes, EPFO has made it very easy to transfer provident fund on change of job and now the rule of transferring provident fund to members by the old or new employer on change of job has been abolished.
What will be the benefit?

There is no interference from employers in these accounts
It may be noted that for Member IDs allotted after October 1, 2017 and linked to Universal Account Number (UAN) linked to Aadhaar, employer intervention is no longer required. Similarly, for transfer between Member IDs linked to multiple UANs issued after October 1, 2017, but linked to the same Aadhaar, a simpler procedure applies…
To which account will the transfer take place?
For smooth transfer process for UAN and Member ID linked to Aadhaar linked transfer, both the accounts should have the same name, date of birth and gender before October 1, 2017. Member IDs linked to different UANs can be transferred between them, provided at least one UAN has been allotted before October 1, 2017 and is linked to the same Aadhaar number. This applies only if the name, date of birth and gender are the same in all member IDs.
How to link support?
- Visit EPFO Member’s e-Services website
- Log in using your UAN, password and captcha.
- Go to ‘Manage’ menu and select ‘KYC’ option. Now check the box for support.
- Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and name as it appears on your Aadhaar card.
- Click ‘Save’ to submit the information for verification.
- Your Aadhaar details will be cross-checked with UIDAI records.
- After verification your Aadhaar will be successfully linked to your EPF account.
