Now EPFO has started a new facility through which members themselves will be able to delin the wrong member ID. For this, first log in to the EPFO member portal. Go to service history, select the wrong member ID and click on the Delink option. For verification, an OTP will be sent to Aadhaar -linked mobile number, after which the member will be delinned by ID.

Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) provides a universal account number (UAN) to each PF account holder, through which they can see all their information related to their PF. But if for some reason the wrong member ID is connected to the UAN, it can cause problems.
How to delin the member ID properly?
If the employer has contributed to the wrong ID, the member himself will not be able to delin it. In such a situation, the concerned employer or EPFO office will have to be contacted. This new facility of EPFO provides more control over the account holders on its accounts, allowing errors to be easily corrected.
How to delin the ID of another person attached to UAN
- First log in to the unified member portal and submit OTP.
- After this, go to the View menu option and choose the service history.
- Go there and find the wrong ID related to your UAN and click on the delin.
- Click on OK for confirmation.
- Go to the next page and choose the reason for delinking.
- Now two consent boxes will be seen, by clicking on which an OTP will be sent to the mobile connected to your Aadhaar.
- After this you submit that OTP. Now the ID diluted will not be seen in your service history.
