Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has given strict instructions to the Electricity Department not to cut any kind of power during Ramadan and iftar. The Chief Minister presided over a high -level meeting to review the arrangements made during Ramadan, where he insisted on giving priority to the needs of the public.
Public expectations from government: Omar Abdullah
During the meeting, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah clarified that the public expects his elected government that he should not have any kind of inconvenience during Ramadan. They said,
“Since the holy month of Ramadan is starting, people hope that the government will take all possible steps so that they do not face any difficulty.”
The Chief Minister directed the officials that if power cuts are required in any area, then its plan should be made in advance and electricity should be stopped during the day. Apart from this, maintenance work should also be done during the day so that there is no problem during Sahari and Iftar.

Special attention to water supply and cleanliness
The Chief Minister also alerted the officials regarding water supply. He said that the availability of water has improved due to recent rains and snowfall, but still adequate drinking water supply should be ensured in every house.
He said, “By the grace of Allah, the rains in the last few days have been beneficial in this regard, but we still have to be cautious about water supply.”
Also, he instructed to maintain cleanliness around cleanliness, especially mosques and other religious places, to further improve traffic management and security system.
Government fully ready for public convenience
It is clear from the instructions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah that the government wants no obstruction in the basic facilities like electricity, water and cleanliness during Ramadan. He instructed the authorities to solve any problems related to the system immediately and change the bad transformers as soon as possible so that people do not face any kind of inconvenience.
