Security forces deployed in four districts

The clash has spread to Naxal-affected Narayanpur and Dantewada districts of Chhattisgarh. According to police personnel, the encounter started from Narayanpur-Abujamad border. Security forces from four surrounding districts are involved in this operation.

Police personnel said that a joint team of DRG and STF was sent to Abujmad district in anti-Naxal operation. As soon as the team entered the Naxal affected area at six in the evening, the Naxalites started firing. In response to which the security forces took action.

3 arrested in case of murder of journalist in Chhattisgarh

Tension is continuously increasing in Chhattisgarh. Journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was murdered in Bijapur district on Friday. His body was found in a septic tank in the premises owned by Suresh Chandrakar in Chattapara colony of Bijapur city. In this case, three accused Mukesh’s cousin Ritesh Chandrakar, Dinesh Chandrakar and Mahendra Ramteke have been arrested. A special investigation team has also been formed for investigation. Mukesh Chandrakar was missing since the night of 1 January. The main accused Suresh Chandrakar is a Congress leader and contractor. But Congress has claimed that Suresh has joined BJP. Suresh is still absconding.
