Employee Shot Dead Fighting Armed Robbers At Petrol Pump In Punjab’s Amritsar | Instagram
Amritsar (Punjab), April 14: In a shocking incident, a brave employee was shot dead by armed robbers at a petrol pump in Punjab’s Amritsar. The horrific incident was caught on CCTV cameras installed at the petrol pump and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the employee lost his life after being shot by one of the robbers trying to barge inside in an attempt to loot cash at the petrol pump. There are reports that two other employees have suffered serious injuries in the firing.
The employee fought the robbers till his last breath and managed to keep them outside of the room in which they were sitting at the petrol pump. His courageous attempt helped in averting the robbery at the petrol pump. The internet users are praising the courage of the employee.
As per reports, the incident occurred at the petrol pump located in Amritsar’s Majitha, Kaler Mangat village on Saturday (April 12) night. Three armed robbers attacked the petrol pump after barging into the room in which the employees were sitting at the time of the incident. There were around three employees present at the spot when the armed robbers attacked. They managed to push them out of the room and close the door to keep them away.
However, one of the robbers fired as the workers pushed them out of the room during the attack. One of the employees was reportedly shot in the chest, but he fought till his last breath and kept pushing the robbers out of the room and held on to the door until he passed away.
As per reports, the deceased has been identified as Gautam Kumar and the injured employee has been identified as Amit. As per reports from IANS, a firing incident was reported near Majitha at the Kaler Mangat petrol pump, resulting in the death of one employee and leaving two others critically injured. Police officials arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation.
There are no reports of any arrests into the incident. The police is investigating the CCTV footage to identify the accused and have formed a team to search and nab the accused.
