Elon Musk’s father even spoke about family links to the city of Liverpool. He said: “His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we have relatives in Liverpool, and we were fortunate to know quite a lot of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family. So, we are attached to Liverpool, you know.”
Will Fenway Sports Group sell Liverpool?
Following the club’s takeover by Fenway Sports Group (FSG) in 2010, the Klopp hasoverseen significant successes, including Premier League and Champions League triumphs.
In September 2023, FSG sold a minority stake to US investment firm Dynasty Equity to address debts related to the pandemic, stadium redevelopment, and other investments. However, FSG has maintained its openness to “serious and suitable investors” who could further strengthen Liverpool’s financial stability
A Sky Sports report claims that the Liverpool club is not for sale as the owners have not received any offers or approaches from anyone, including Elon Musk or his family members.
The report further said, “A couple of years ago John Henry, the owner of FSG, came out and said the club was not for sale. He also said they would not own Liverpool forever but there is no indication, at the moment, that they are interested in selling the club whatsoever.
“If he really wanted to buy Liverpool, nothing would stop him apart from Liverpool fans. The first hurdle would be to convince Liverpool’s owners to sell the club, we know everything has its price.
