Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): In the first week of December, the maximum demand for electricity has increased in all seven districts of Ujjain division due to Rabi season. The daily electricity supply in all seven districts of the division is currently more than five crore units.
Due to the fact that around seven lakh agricultural pumps are in operation in Ujjain division, the demand for electricity has increased rapidly. MP West Zone Electricity Distribution Company’s managing director Rajni Singh stated that the maximum electricity demand and corresponding supply is occurring in Ujjain district.
The daily supply in Ujjain district is 1.25 crore units. In second place, Dewas district has a supply of 1.07 crore units. Ratlam district is third in the division with a daily supply of 81 lakh units, followed by Mandsaur with 64 lakh, Shajapur district with 60 lakh units, Neemuch with 38 lakh units and Agar district with 33 lakh units.
A daily power supply system of ten hours is in place for agricultural work and 24-hour daily power supply for all other categories of consumers. For monitoring supply, executive director level officers are posted at the company level and superintending engineer level officers are posted in districts. All of them do daily monitoring and wherever a technical difficulty arises, a team is sent there on time to resolve it.
