Varanasi, 08 July (Hindustan Times). Troubled by financial crisis and debt, an electrician committed suicide by hanging himself in Adampur police station area on Saturday. On the information of the relatives, the police reached the spot, took the dead body down from the noose and sent it for postmortem.

Rahul (34), son of Rakesh Maurya, a resident of Chittanpura, was an electrician. In connection with the work, Rahul had taken a loan of Rs 4 lakh. The lenders were coming to his house and harassing him. Distressed by this, Rahul hanged himself on Saturday morning. When father Rakesh Maurya went to the top floor of the house, he saw that the dead body of the son was hanging from the noose. Seeing this, the father screamed and the people around came along with the family members. The mother, wife and children of the deceased became insensible due to the death of the son. On receiving the information, the police took the dead body down from the noose and took action while sending it for postmortem.
