Chatra, 30 September (Hindus). On Monday, under the chairmanship of Electoral Registration Officer cum Sub-Divisional Officer Chatra Zahoor Alam, for the Assembly General Election 2024, all the Assistant Electoral Registration Officers cum Block Development Officers, Block Panchayat Raj Officers, all BLO supervisors and concerned computer operators along with Chatra (SC) constituency. The meeting was held.

In the light of the instructions of the Election Commission, the final publication of the voter list has been done for the second special brief revision program of the voter list, considering July 1 as the qualifying date. After the final publication of the voter list, those polling stations under Chatra Assembly Constituency were reviewed where very less number of forms (Forms 6, 7 and 8) have been received as compared to other polling stations. All the concerned officials and personnel were instructed to do door-to-door verification of the said polling stations and ensure that within two days, the relevant forms of the eligible citizens are obtained and entered on the ERO net.

In the light of the instructions received from the department regarding providing minimum facilities at a total of 475 polling stations within the constituency, the polling personnel could discharge their responsibilities efficiently and easily on the polling day and especially in view of the easy voting for the voters who came to vote. Disabled and senior voters should not face any inconvenience and should have a pleasant experience. In this regard, the Commission has been instructed to work in coordination with the concerned authorities of the state to provide permanently assured minimum facilities at the polling stations. In which minimum facilities like ramp, electrical connection, uninterrupted power supply, provision of separate toilets including drinking water arrangement, furniture etc. are required to be available so that the polling security personnel can conveniently discharge their duties on the polling day. And the voters who came to cast their votes should not face any kind of problem.
