Prayagraj, 18 October (H.C.). The Allahabad High Court dismissed the election petition filed by Vijay Nandan against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Varanasi Lok Sabha elections.

The court refused to hear the election petition after the 45 -day admission to the termination of the 45 -day period limit. This order has been given by Justice Soumitra Dayal Singh. The election petition was presented on 3 September. 19 days were admitted late by the scheduled period.

There is no arrangement for the delay in filing the petition in the Representation of the Public Representation Act. There is a system of listening to the election petition time limit within 45 days. The court asked the petitioner if he wanted to take time on this aspect. The petitioner demanded time. On this, the court directed the petition to be listed on 18 October.

According to the petition, the nomination of Vijay Nandan was rejected by the District Election Officer. Vijay Nandan, a resident of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, associated with the Janhit Party, says that his nomination was wrongly rejected by the Election Officer.

The election petition demanded the cancellation of the election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and re -election on the Varanasi seat by terming the petitioner’s nomination.
