Agra: The problem of stray dogs in the country has grown serious. Many incident of stray dog attacks have come to the fore in the recent past. A shocking incident occurred in the Idgah area’s Katghar Colony in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, where an elderly woman fell prey to a stray dog attack while on her morning walk. The woman was attacked and dragged by a pack of around 7-8 stray dogs in a narrow lane.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday (December 12) at around 9 Am in the morning. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera installed in the area and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The woman is seen screaming for help and fighting for her life when the dogs attacked her.
Seven stray dogs attacked the woman, leaving her seriously injured. Despite her screams for help, no one came to her rescue in time. She tried to defend herself, but the dogs became more aggressive. One of the dogs pulled the woman by pulling her dress with its mouth due to which she fell to the ground.
They dragged the woman and took her to the field nearby and kept on biting and attacking the elderly woman for a long time. There was no one to help the woman as there was nobody on the streets in the early hours of the day. It is not yet clear how the woman managed to save her life from the aggressive dogs.
The attack left her with severe injuries as the dogs scratched and bit her. The horrifying incident was captured on CCTV, and the footage has now surfaced, highlighting the growing danger of stray dogs in the locality.
Residents are concerned about their safety and are calling for immediate action to address the issue of stray dogs. Many people, including children have suffered serious injuries in the dog attack incidents in the recent past. The issue is now turning serious and the government must take steps to curb dog menace in the future.
