Maharashtra Politics: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation to the Governor of Maharashtra. It is noteworthy that the Mahayuti alliance has got an overwhelming majority in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) legislature party leader Eknath Shinde has been elected, while NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) legislature party leader Ajit Pawar has been elected. Now a meeting of BJP MLAs is to be held and the leader is to be elected.
Devendra Fadnavis leads in the race for CM post
All three parties will sit together and decide on the post of Chief Minister in Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis’s name is leading for the post of Chief Minister from BJP. However, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leaders are also pressurizing Eknath Shinde to remain the CM.
NDA has got a big victory in the recently held Maharashtra Assembly elections. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as the largest party in the state assembly. BJP has won 132 seats. According to sources, this time the post of Chief Minister will go to BJP.
Mahayuti won 230 seats
The ‘Mahayuti’ alliance of Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, BJP and Ajit Pawar-led NCP retained power in the recently concluded Maharashtra Assembly elections by winning 230 out of 288 seats, while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) got only 46. Seats were found. ,
•BJP has won 132 seats.
• Under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena has won 57 seats.
• Ajit Pawar led NCP has won 41 seats.
