A Babar Azam fan was left frustrated and crying at his another failure in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. With the Peshawar Zalmi captain scoring only 1 during Monday’s game against the Islamabad United in Rawalpindi, the fan was heard saying he gets out playing the same shot again and again.

With the right-handed batter getting out to Mohammad Amir for a two-ball duck in Zalmi’s opening match against the Gladiators, he was inevitably under pressure to score. Instead, Babar became Islamabad United pacer Ben Dwarshuis’ first-ever wicket in PSL as he edged one to slip where Jason Holder snaffled the catch.

In the video shared by a user on X, a fan was heard saying while crying as she watched Babar getting dismissed:

“Pehli baar thodi is tarah out hua hai. Ek hee shot pe out ho jaata hai baar baar.” (It’s not the first time he has been out this way. He is playing the same shot and getting out)

Peshawar Zalmi succumb to another big defeat

After losing to the Quetta Gladiators by 80 runs in their opening game, Zalmi lost to the defending champions by 102 runs. Chasing a daunting 244, they lost Babar in the second over, suffering a huge setback early on. Mohammad Haris was one of their only three batters reaching double figures and the only one to go past fifty.

Zalmi’s innings lasted only 18.2 overs and were eventually bowled out for 141 as Imad Wasim took three scalps. Sahibzada Farhan earned the Player of the Match award for his 52-ball 106.
