Siliguri, 19 November (HS). Pradhan Nagar police station has arrested eight gamblers. The names of the arrested gamblers are Vishwajeet Biswas, Mohammad Amjad, Sadre Alam, Mohammad Mustafiq, Nausad Khan, Dheeraj Patel, Abu Talha Alam and Mohammad Mustaq.
According to sources, the police of Pradhan Nagar police station, on a secret information late on Monday night, conducted an operation in a rented house in the area adjacent to the Circuit House. During this period, eight gamblers were arrested from the spot. Most of the arrested gamblers are residents of Bihar.
According to local people, Abu Talha Alam had taken the house on rent. Where gambling dens used to gather every day. Police have seized Rs 37,000 in cash, a deck of cards, liquor bottles and eight mobile phones from the gambling den.
The police of Pradhan Nagar police station has started taking further action.
