Education Initiatives of Yogi Government: Two new universities will open in UP, youth will get better future

News India Live, Digital Desk: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the establishment of two new universities to strengthen the higher education sector of the state. At the 75th Foundation Day celebrations of Deendayal Upadhyay University (DDU) of Gorakhpur on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi said that the government’s goal is not only to create educated society, but to prepare qualified, cultured and self -reliant youth. The establishment of a new university is an important step in this direction.

New universities will be equipped with modern facilities

State -of -the -art technology, medical, agriculture and innovation -based courses will be launched in the new universities. There will be features such as digital library, modern laboratories, and startup incubation centers. The government is ready to give full support for these schemes. The Chief Minister suggested that the universities prepare a detailed action plan for the next 25 years, so that decisions can be taken keeping in mind the future requirements.

Fifth university will be established in Gorakhpur

The Chief Minister announced the establishment of Forestry and Horticulture University in Gorakhpur. This will be the fifth university in Gorakhpur. Currently these four universities are present in Gorakhpur:

  • Mahayogi Gorakhnath University
  • Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology
  • Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University
  • AYUSH University

Economic activities and employment will increase

Chief Minister Yogi said that with the establishment of a new university, there will be economic development, employment generation and expansion in infrastructure. This will also prevent the migration of youth.

He said that universities will also have to accelerate quality research works to get a better place in the global rankings. This requires study and research in collaboration with institutions like IITs and IIMs.

Celebration of achievements of 75 years

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister also released a documentary, theme song, special memory coin, postage stamp and several books showing the achievements of 75 years of the university. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Brahmalin Mahant Digvijaynath Auditorium on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee and directed to complete the construction in 18 months.

This step of the Yogi government is going to strengthen the future of the youth of the state as well as prepare the education sector for competition internationally.
