Ed raid in chhattisgarh: The Congress is expressing displeasure over the raid by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today (March 10) at the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Congress MP Manikam Tagore has called ED a pet dog. Apart from this, he also accused the BJP. It is noteworthy that the ED has raided around 14-15 places in the state. This action has been taken in the alleged liquor scam case.

Congress MP Manikam Tagore said, ‘We all know that ED has become a pet dog of PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. With this, the dog can go wherever he wants. Bhupesh Baghel is a strong Congress leader and has fought such a fight. The Congress party and the people of Chhattisgarh stand with them. We all know that lies spread by BJP and RSS will be defeated.
ED action
On Monday, raids were conducted on the premises of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his son as part of the money laundering investigation. Bhupesh Baghel’s son Chaitanya Baghel, Chaitanya Baghel’s alleged close associate Laxmi Narayan Bansal alias Pappu Bansal and some other people of Bhilai (District Durg) are also being investigated under the provisions of the Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Significantly, the alleged liquor scam was done between 2019 and 2022 and at that time there was a Congress government under Baghel in Chhattisgarh. Under this investigation, the ED has so far seized assets worth about Rs 205 crore from various accused.
