The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Sukhwinder Singh Kharur and Dimple Kharur from the alleged masterminds of the Rs 3,558 crore scam from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) in Delhi. Both were planning to leave the countries and flee. But due to the look out circular (LoC), he was stopped at the airport and is currently detained.

 

According to ED officials, these arrests have been made under the ongoing money laundering investigation against Vyunau Marketing Services Limited and its affiliated companies. After the arrest, both the accused have been sent to the custody of ED by Jalandhar Court for further investigation.

What is Cloud Particle Scam?

The scam is known as ‘Cloud Particle Scam’. In which investors were cheated through false ‘sales and lease-back’ (SLB) model. The ED started its investigation after the Gautam Buddha Nagar Noida Police registered an FIR in Uttar Pradesh based on the information provided by the agency. The ED investigation has revealed that Sukhwinder Singh Kharur, CEO and founder of Vyunau Group, along with his colleagues carried out the big scam.

 

Investors have Rs. 3558 crore fraud

According to the ED, a large amount of money was collected from investors in the name of Cloud Particle Technology, but its real business did not exist and it was exaggerated to mislead investors. The ED said, “Through this fake investment scheme, an amount of about Rs 3,558 crore was collected from investors and it was used for non-commercial purposes.”
