A total of 4 eclipses are going to occur in the new year i.e. 2025. Of these, there will be 2 solar eclipses and 2 lunar eclipses. Know when this eclipse will occur and how many of these eclipses will be visible in India.

The eclipse will take place in the year 2025. This eclipse will take place on March 14. Holi festival will be celebrated in India on this day. The first eclipse of the new year will not be visible in India as it will be daytime in India at this time. This eclipse will be visible throughout the United States, Western Europe, West Africa, and the North and South Atlantic Ocean. According to Indian time, the eclipse will start at 10 hours 39 minutes 3 seconds Indian time on March 14, 2025 and the eclipse will end at 2 hours 18 minutes 2 seconds Indian time.

The first solar eclipse of the year will occur after 15 days.
Solar eclipse will occur 15 days after solar eclipse. A partial solar eclipse will occur on March 29, 2025. However, this eclipse will not be visible even in India. According to Indian time, the partial solar eclipse will start at 2:20 pm on March 29 and will end at 6:13 pm. The eclipse will be visible in North America, Greenland, Iceland, the North Atlantic Ocean, Europe and northwestern Russia.

The third eclipse of the year 2025 will take place in the month of September. This will be a total lunar eclipse and will occur on September 7. This eclipse will be visible in India also, hence Sutak rules will be applicable in India also. According to Indian time, the total lunar eclipse will start at 9:56 minutes 8 seconds on 7 September 2025 and will end at 1:26 minutes 8 seconds midnight. This lunar eclipse will be visible in other countries of Asia as well as Europe, Antarctica, Western Pacific Ocean, Australia and the Indian Ocean region.

When will the fourth eclipse occur?
The fourth eclipse of the year 2025 will take place on 21-22 September. This will be a partial solar eclipse. The partial solar eclipse will start at 10:59:80 PM IST on September 21, 2025 and end at 3:23 AM IST. This eclipse will not be visible in India. Hence its dormancy will not apply. This partial solar eclipse will be visible in New Zealand, eastern Melanesia, southern Polynesia and the western Atlantic.
