Earthquake victim Myanmar continues India’s humanitarian aid, Navy and Air Force delivered relief material

India has launched a large -scale relief and human aid campaign for Myanmar affected by the earthquake. As part of this campaign, two Indian Navy ship – INS Satpura and INS Savitri reached the Youngon port of Myanmar with more relief materials. Foreign Minister S. There was a 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar on Friday, in which more than 2,000 people have lost their lives and around 3,900 people have been injured.

Three more ship ships leave with relief material

Three other ship of the Indian Navy-INS Karmukh, INS Gongial and LCU-52–500 tonnes have left for Youngon with more than relief materials. This comprehensive campaign has been named “Operation Brahma” by India, which was launched as a quick human reaction after the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand.

Indian Air Force is also cooperating

According to the Indian Embassy in Myanmar, a C-130 aircraft of the Indian Air Force is scheduled to land in Mandalay on Tuesday with more than 15 tonnes of relief material. Earlier, on Saturday, relief materials, rescue teams and medical equipment were sent from five Indian Air Force military aircraft.

NDRF launched rescue operation

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations in Mandalay area of ​​Myanmar. On Monday, the NDRF recovered seven bodies from the debris of buildings collapsed by the earthquake. The responsibility of conducting rescue operations in 13 buildings in Sector D in Mandley city has been entrusted to NDRF. Apart from this, the Indian team is also campaigning in a Buddhist monastery, where about 170 monks are feared trapped.

Search continues with the help of investigative dogs

The NDRF teams are seeking the help of state -of -the -art equipment and trained investigative dogs to search for possible living people trapped in debris. However, given the seriousness of the scene, the chances of survival of people buried in the debris are gradually decreasing.

India has a 1,643 km long international border with Myanmar. Keeping this closeness in mind, India has started a quick relief campaign, carrying out human responsibility. India is committed to providing sustainable assistance to Myanmar under ‘Operation Brahma’.
