After the declaration of India’s readiness for help by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India sent 15 tonnes of relief materials including solar lamps, food packets and kitchens to Myanmar through Air Force aircraft. Sharing the details of Operation Brahma, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that 80 NDRF rescue teams equipped with special equipment and investigative dogs have also left for Nepita. In addition, Indian Navy ships INS Satpura and INS Savitri have left for Yangon port with 40 tonnes of humanitarian assistance.
