New Delhi, 8 July (Hindustan Times). The 132nd edition of Durand Cup will be org.zed by HQ Eastern Command under the aegis of Durand Football Tournament Society from 03 Aug to 03 Sep 2023. The Durand Cup Football Tournament Society has a CDS president and three service chief vice-presidents.
Trophies awarded to the winners of Durand Cup, President’s Cup, Durand Cup and Shimla Cup are being toured to raise awareness about sports, especially football, enhance sports culture and empower sports ecosystem in our country. is included. The trophies will reach Jaipur from Delhi on 09 July 2023 and will be taken around various places in the city including Rajasthan International Center in Jhalana Dungri, SMS Stadium, Amar Jawan Jyoti, Vidhansabha, Ajmeri Gate, Ram Niwas Garden and Albert Hall.
The opening ceremony will be held on 09 July at RIC under the aegis of HQ 61 Sub Area, Sapta Shakti Command in association with Rajasthan United Front Club (RUFC), which is also a participating team in the tournament this year. The event will be attended by GOC HQ 61 Sub Area, various senior civilian dignitaries, military and police officers, sports enthusiasts as well as students of Army Public School, KV No. 2 and KV No. 4 and NCC cadets. The Durand Cup Trophy Tour is being hosted by RUFC in Jaipur.
The trophy tour will cover various parts of the country, including command headquarters of the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and the cities from where the various teams are participating in the Durand Cup tournament. The Trophy Tour will be held in Delhi, Jaipur, Kochi, Kokrajhar, Guwahati, Shillong, Kolkata, Udhampur, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Aizawl.
