Lucknow, 08 July (Hindustan Times). Entrepreneur Jaishankar Verma’s comp.es are recognized from making plywood doors to land deals. For the last two days, the Income Tax Department raided five offices of his company JSV Group in Lucknow and two in Barabanki. After two days of action, the owners of JSV Group lost their sweat.
The names of Jaishankar Verma and his sons Pankaj and Jatin have been in discussion for the past few years in the field of entrepreneurship. The contribution of the sons in the activism of the comp.es and the role of reliable employees made JSV Group a big company. During the demonetisation that took place some time back, the company converted black money into white by laying a trap through its confidants from Lucknow to Barabanki. The land was bought by giving old notes to the farmers.
Last month in April, the Lucknow team of the Income Tax Department had reached Gorakhpur to raid, only then the team came to know about the purchase of land in exchange of old notes. After this, on Thursday, the Income Tax team raided the JSV Group and collected evidence by conducting investigations in Lucknow and Barabanki for two days.
It is being told that the Income Tax Department has made preparations to recover the amount of 70 crores from JSV Group for tax evasion and fine. In this, different amounts of fine and tax evasion will be recovered, which is a total of Rs 70 crore. The directors and officers of the company have lost sleep due to the action of the Income Tax Department. The leaves of the A category employees of the company have also been cancelled.
