Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad Al Maktum is coming on a two -day official visit to India today. This is his first official visit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation. During this visit, he will be accompanied by several ministers, senior government officials and a high -level business delegation.
Crown Prince’s program
On the first day of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will host lunch for Sheikh Hamdan. Subsequently, Crown Prince will hold important meetings with India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. After these meetings, they will go from Delhi to Mumbai, where they will join a business round table with prominent India-UAE business leaders. The purpose of this discussion is to further strengthen the traditional and future economic commercial cooperation of the two countries.
Indian migrant in UAE
According to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, Dubai has played an important role in commercial, cultural and exchange between India and UAE. About 43 lakh Indian migrants live in UAE, most of whom work in Dubai. The Crown Prince’s visit will further strengthen India-UAE’s broad strategic partnership, and will also deepen our multidimensional relations with Dubai.
Foreign Minister’s visit
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar invited Crown Prince to come to India during the United Arab Emirates visit in January 2023. After this visit, he said in a post on social media, “Dubai’s Crown Prince, UAE DPM and Defense Minister Sheikh Hamdan Mohammad was very happy to meet. There was a warm discussion on the deep bonding of our friendship and moving forward for the good of our people.”
