In Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district, there has been a stir when the drone was seen flying near the original residence of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s house resides in the Chief Minister’s elderly mother and other family members. Local citizens and panchayat representatives said that four drones were seen simultaneously in the Guna, Sera and Maziyar areas coming to the border of Nadaun police stations. On receiving the information, the police immediately reached the spot and started the investigation.
Local residents stopped the lights of their homes for security reasons. Former Deputy Sarpanch Sanjeev Kumar of Karur Panchayat and Sonia Thakur, sarpanch of Amlehhar Panchayat, said that the drone was initially seen flying over the village of Sera. It is said that one of them ran towards the village at a very fast speed. Local people said one of these drones crashed.
Meanwhile, the police have not yet officially confirmed the incident. Nadaun Police Inspector Nirmal Singh said that the police team was immediately sent to the spot and the investigation is on. Hamirpur Superintendent of Police Bhagat Singh Thakur said that a team of DSP and local police officers has been sent to the spot and intense investigation is going on. In view of this incident, security forces have been alerted and an atmosphere of fear has arisen among the local citizens.
