Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Nashik district on Friday, January 24, during which he will visit Trimbakeshwar and Malegaon. To ensure his safety and maintain law and order, drone flying has been banned in the district from January 22 to January 24. Additional District Magistrate Rajendra Wagh issued the order imposing these restrictions.
The ban includes the flying or use of drones (unmanned aerial vehicles), paragliders, paramotors, hot air balloons and microlight aircraft without prior authorisation from the competent authority.
To prevent any untoward incidents, the district has been declared a no-drone fly zone for the specified period. Drone operators and owners in rural Nashik have been instructed to refrain from flying drones in the affected areas.
The administration has reserved the right to grant permissions for drone-based photography and stated that strict action will be taken against those violating the order. Violators will face penalties under provisions of the Indian Penal Code, the Indian Aircraft Act and other applicable laws.
This precautionary measure reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment during the high-profile visit.
