Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled visit to Raigad on Saturday, April 12, authorities have announced a temporary ban on the use of drones and other aerial devices in the vicinity of his visit sites to ensure tight security.

Shah is expected to attend events commemorating the death anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. As part of his tour, he will visit the historic Raigad Fort and Sutarwadi, both significant locations in Raigad district.

In view of the high-profile visit, District Collector Kishan Jawale has issued an order prohibiting the operation of drones, paragliders, paramotors, hand gliders, and similar equipment within a 2-kilometer radius of the event locations. The restriction will be in effect between 7 am and 4pm on Sunday.

In a statement released by District Information Officer of Raigad, the district administration has emphasized that any violation of this order will lead to strict action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Authorities have appealed to the public and enthusiasts to cooperate and ensure the security arrangements are not disrupted during the minister’s visit.
