RSS’s big claim: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has entered its centenary year. On this special occasion, RSS has claimed that Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Ambedkar visited the Sangh’s branch. According to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Mahatma Gandhi had visited the Sangh camp in the year 1934. When Dr. Ambedkar visited the Sangh branch in 1940. It is noteworthy that RSS has also shown a paper cutting in support of its claim.

According to the Vishwa Samvad Kendra of RSS, Mahatma Gandhi had reached the RSS camp in Wardha in 1934. This journey took place at a time when India was struggling for independence and Gandhiji’s thoughts had a deep impact on the entire country.

Vishwa Samvad Kendra also said in the statement, ‘Dr. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, visited a branch of the Sangh in Karad, Satara district of Maharashtra on 2 January 1940. Meanwhile, he met the volunteers of the Sangh and also addressed them.

According to Vishwa Samvad Kendra, during the visit to the branch of the Sangh, Dr. Addressing Ambedkar, he said, ‘There may be differences between me and the Sangh on some issues, but still I look at the Sangh with a sense of kinship.’ On January 9, 1940, in Pune’s famous Marathi daily ‘Kesari’, Dr. News was published about this visit of Ambedkar.
