News India Live, Digital Desk: Preparations are being made to start a fast and modern train service between Delhi and Rajasthan. “Namo Bharat” train will be operated from Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Neemrana in Rajasthan. The new Detailed Project Report of this project has been prepared and it has been sent to the Haryana government for approval. The estimated cost is around Rs 35743 crore.
Changes in old DPR
According to the first DPR, Namo Bharat Train was to be known from Delhi’s Sarai Rohilla to Kapashera Border, Atul Kataria Chowk, Maharana Pratap Chowk and Signature Tower to Neemrana. But according to the new DPR, the train will start from Sarai Rohilla in Delhi to Neemrana in Rajasthan via INA, Munirka, Arrow City, Cyber City, IFFCO Chowk, Dharuhera, Bawal, and Rewari.
There will be underground and elevated stations
There will be a total of 17 stations on the route of Delhi-Nimrana Namo Bharat Train. Among them, INA, Muniraka, Arrow City Station will be underground in Delhi. Gurugram will also have underground stations in Gurugram, Cyber City, Rajiv Chowk, Manesar, Hero Honda Chowk, and Kherki Daula. All other stations will be built at elevated. Underground stations will be constructed in 190 meters, while elevated stations will be constructed in 140 meters.
When will the train start?
According to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), the operation of Delhi-Nimrana Namo Bharat Train will start by the year 2031. In the initial phase, about 11 lakh passengers are expected to travel daily, which will increase to about 20 lakhs in the next 20 years.
197 hectares of land required
For this ambitious project, NCRTC needs a total of 197 hectares of land, of which 23 acres of private land and 22.64 hectares of government land are in Haryana. About 500 crore rupees will be spent on land acquisition. NCRTC has started the process of land acquisition rapidly so that construction work can be completed within the stipulated time frame.
