Mumbai: The language war is once again in limelight in Maharashtra and videos of non-Marathi speakers being forced to speak Marathi are making rounds on the internet. The latest incident is coming from Mumbai’s Bhandup, where a customer allegedly refused to receive pizza from the delivery boy and refused to pay the pizza delivery boy because he did not know how to speak Marathi.

The delivery boy, filmed the incident on his mobile phone and the video is now making rounds on internet. The video, starts with the woman behind the door, asking the delivery boy to go and stay in Haryana, to which, he asks why?

“Dont stay here if you don’t know Marathi,” the woman can be heard saying as her husband is seen using his phone standing behind her.

“Kyu jabardasti hai, Marathi bolne ka?” the delivery boy asks. The woman responds saying, “Hai yaha pe aise hi.” He further asks, “Kon bola aisa hai?”

The woman then says,”We don’t know Hindi.” The man then reponds saying,”Nahi aata hai toh nahi order karne ka na?” Which roughly translates to,”If you do not know Hindi, then don’t order.”

Hearing this, the woman’s husband who was standing calmly says, “Now we will not pay you money,” the man says while closing the door. The woman stops her husband from closing the door.

The man shooting the video then says, “You do not want to pay the money? tell me more.”

The man then claims that there is a problem with the order, to which, the delivery guy asks him to show it if there was a problem with the order.

The woman then asks her husband to call “Sanjay Patil.” Then the delivery guy says, “Call anybody, if i don’t know Marathi, should i speak forcefully?” The woman then says, “Do not record a video, i can shoot your video, you cannot”, she says. Reportedly, the delivery boy had to return without the money.
