Hemant Joshi, Sanjay Lele (age 44) and Atul Mone were among those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on the main tourist place Pahalgam. All of them were residents of different areas of Dombivali in Thane district.

Local resident Laxmikant Bhoir knew the deceased Lele and both were part of a spiritual group.

The administration has instructed the concerned authorities to provide immediate assistance to the families of the deceased.

The Collector Office and the Local Disaster Management Authority have asked people to contact their relatives or other acquaintances who have gone to Pahalgam. They should be asked to contact the helpline number of the district administration immediately for any assistance.

A 24 -hour assistance desk and emergency control room have been set up at Thane Collector Office for tourists requiring assistance in Kashmir.
