Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Rajendra Nagar police arrested four individuals, including the wife of Dr Sunil Sahu, who was shot dead at his clinic by unidentified assailants posing as patients, police said on Sunday.

According to the police, Dr Sunil Sahu’s wife, Saloni, was the mastermind behind the murder and asked her lover, Santosh Sharma, an advocate from Ujjain, to prepare a plan to kill her husband. Santosh contacted his friend from Ujjain, Manoj Sumant, who arranged a meeting between Santosh and Prakash Yadav.

Prakash then contracted two shooters from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, for Rs 1.5 lakh to carry out the killing. The two shooters, Hullan Yadav and Sangram Yadav, conducted a recce of Dr. Sahu’s clinic.

On the night of December 27, Hullan and Sangram went to Dr Sahu’s clinic, where Hullan shot him on his chest, resulting in his death.

They fled the scene on Santosh’s motorcycle, while Santosh waited in his car a short distance from the scene. He later fled to Ujjain and is currently evading the police. The police arrested the prime accused, Saloni Sahu, along with Manoj Sumant, Prakash Yadav and Sangram Yadav, while Santosh Sharma and Hullan Yadav remain at large.  

Sunil’s wife Saloni met Santosh in 2021, about one and a half years before her marriage to Sunil.

Sunil’s wife was working at an advisory firm where Santosh was a client. She came into contact with him through this firm.
