Hamirpur, 26 November (HS). On Tuesday, the District Magistrate, taking an innovative initiative for the health benefits of Anna cows, started the Jaggery Bank from the Gaushala in Sumerpur’s Kanha Gaushala. DM performed cow worship and fed jaggery and gram to the cows.
On Tuesday afternoon, District Magistrate Ghanshyam Meena came to the Kanha Gaushala of Sumerpur and saw the arrangements for feeding the protected cows in the Gaushala and, taking an innovative initiative for the health benefits of Anna’s cow descendants, also inaugurated the Jaggery Bank from the Gaushala. The District Magistrate also fed jaggery and gram to the cows after performing cow worship. The District Officer said that our aim is to collect as much jaggery as possible and to cover 100 percent of the protected cow progeny in all the cow shelters. For this, he said that government officials, employees and general public should join this initiative and donate jaggery as much as possible. Under Jaggery Bank, people can donate jaggery in any cow shelter.
The District Magistrate said that the jaggery collected through the Jaggery Bank will be sent to all the cowsheds of the district. Eating jaggery will provide health benefits to cows during cold weather. Along with this, the District Magistrate said that by developing pasture lands, green fodder should also be arranged for the protected cows there. With the inspiration of the District Magistrate, more than 2 quintals of jaggery has been collected so far in the Jaggery Bank. The District Magistrate said that our aim is to collect as much jaggery as possible and cover 100 percent of the cows protected in all the cowsheds. On this occasion, Additional District Officer Finance and Revenue Vijay Shankar, Judicial Additional District Officer Nagendra Nath Yadav and other concerned officers were present.
