The controversy over the alleged suicide of Disha Salian, former manager of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has once again deepened. Disha’s father Satish Salian, terming the case a murder, has demanded a fresh investigation and appealed to register an FIR against Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray.
Shocking claim of Mumbai Police
However, in the closure report of the Mumbai Police, Disha Salian’s death was described as suicide. The police also blamed the father of Disha in his investigation, as he had allegedly misused the money of the direction, causing her to be under mental stress.
How did Disha died?
According to the police, on 8 June 2020, Disha Salian committed suicide by jumping from the 12th floor of a building located in Janakalyan Nagar, Malad.
The Malwani police investigating the case submitted a closure report on 4 February 2021.
What came out in the investigation?
According to the Mumbai Police, Disha was in depression for some time, behind which some unsuccessful projects, misunderstandings with friends and misuse of money made by their father.
Father filed a petition in the High Court
Last week, Disha’s father filed a petition in the Bombay High Court demanding a fresh investigation into the case. He alleged that Disha was raped and then murdered.
The petition also said that a conspiracy was hatched to suppress the matter to save some influential people. He also demanded to hand over the investigation to the CBI.
Allegations on Aditya Thackeray and his response
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray has also been accused about the death of Disha Salian. However, Aditya Thackeray has said that he will answer these allegations in the court.
CBI gave clean chit in Sushant Singh Rajput case
Earlier, the CBI had filed its closure report in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, in which no disturbances were feared and a clean chit was given to Riya Chakraborty and his family.
What will happen now?
Despite the closure report of the Mumbai Police, Disha’s parents are demanding a re-investigation into the case. It will now be seen what the High Court takes on it and whether the matter will be investigated again or not.
