Ghaziabad, April 15: In a shocking incident, a video has surfaced on social media in which a cart vendor is seen molesting an 11-year-old minor girl in Ghaziabad’s Modinagar. The incident was recorded by an onlooker and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The police came into action after the video was widely shared on social media and arrested the accused.
As per reports, the girl’s family came to know about the incident after seeing the video. They reached the police station and reported the incident at the Modinagar Police Station. The accused was taken into custody and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The police is also examining the viral video and the CCTV footage in the area.
The video shows that the girl went to the cart of the accused vendor to buy something. The vendor took advantage of the situation and put his hand around her waist also touched her breast. The incident was reportedly filmed by an individual after which the footage went viral on social media. Another minor girl is also seen in the video standing near the cart.
The police said that a case was registered after a complaint was received in connection with the matter. The complaint has been filed under relevant section at the Modinagar Police Station. They also said that the cart vendor who has been identified as Jagdish has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
There are reports that the family of the minor girl said that the vendor often visits the area, selling children items. The girl was too young to understand what happened to her, hence, she did not tell anyone about the incident. They only came to know about the incident after they watched the viral video of the cruel act of the vendor.
They are now demanding strict action against the accused so that he does not repeat the shameful act in the future.
The incident has raised concerns that knowledge must be given to the kids about the good touch and bad touch. They should not be left unattended and parents should take care where are they going and whom they are meeting.
