Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh recently shocked fans during his Chandigarh show on December 14 by claiming that he will not be performing concerts in India due to the poor infrastructure for live shows and urged authorities to arrange better facilities. However, Diljit has now clarified that he never said he wouldn’t perform in India, explaining that his remarks were solely about issues with the venue in Chandigarh.

In a now-deleted post, Diljit wrote in Punjabi, “Nope. I said there’s a problem with the venue in Chandigarh (CHD). So… until I get the right venue, I won’t plan the next show in Chandigarh. That’s it.”

Check it out:

Earlier, at the concert, Diljit said in Punjabi, “We don’t have the proper infrastructure for live shows here. This is a significant source of revenue, and many people rely on it for work. I’ll try next time to ensure the stage is in the center so you can all gather around it. Until then, I won’t be doing shows in India, that’s certain.”

Meanwhile, recently, Dosanjh faced criticism after he spelled Punjab as ‘Panjab’ in his tweets and slammed the conspiracy theories against him. He wrote on X, “If the tricolour is missed once while mentioning Punjab in a tweet, it’s called a conspiracy. Even in a tweet about Bengaluru, it was missed once. If Punjab is written as Panjab, it’s called a conspiracy. Whether you write it as Panjab or Punjab…it will always remain ਪੰਜਾਬ,” he wrote.

“Panj Aab – meaning Five Rivers…To those making conspiracies about English spellings from the language of foreigners — well done! I’ll start writing in Punjabi in the future…ਪੰਜਾਬ.”

Slamming his haters, Diljit added, “I know you won’t stop. Keep going! How many times should we prove that…We LOVE INDIA. Come up with something new, guys!.”

Diljit will next perform in Mumbai on December 19 as a part of his Dil-Luminati Tour.
