Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Under the Digital India campaign, the district is going to achieve another important milestone from next Monday (May 5) by rolling-out an e-office system in all the offices of the state government.
The administrative functioning will completely be online. Collector Asheesh Singh announced on Monday that the e-office system would be implemented in all the government offices of the district from next Monday. Accordingly, all the files will be handled through a digital platform.
The collector said that e-office would not only ensure transparency in work, but also increase the speed of disposal of files. The status of any file would be known in real time.
This would save unnecessary delay in offices and time spent in paperwork
Collector Singh informed about this innovative digital working system in a review meeting which is known as Time Limit (TL) meeting, held at the Collector Office. CEO of Indore Smart City Divyank Singh, additional collector Gaurav Benal, CEO of MPIDC Himanshu Prajapati and other departmental officers were present in the meeting.
It was informed in the meeting that preparations were going on for the past few months to implement the e-office system in the district. Officers and employees had been trained to operate it.
The technical infrastructure had also been strengthened so that there was no hindrance in the system. Collector Singh said that offices were equipped with all the necessary equipment, software and Internet connectivity and were now ready for digital work.
From next Monday, new files would be created online in all offices. Under the e-office system, facilities like movement of files, preparation of note sheets, approval, correspondence management and digital storage of documents are being started in the first phase. Later, other services will also be linked to the e-office system.
Govt system to be smarter
Collector Singh said, “With the e-office system, we will be able to make the administration smarter, transparent and responsive. Citizens will get the benefits of services quickly. This decision of the Indore administration is an important step towards realising the Digital India Mission at the ground level.”
