PM Narendra Modi addressing Global Investors’ Summit 2025 at Bhopal’s IGRMS on Monday |

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his Global Investors’ Summit 2025 address speech with an ‘apology for arriving late’ at the venue, Bhopal’s Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), on Monday.

Notably, Prime Minister was scheduled to arrive at 10 am at the venue, however, he entered the hall at 10:27 am. He stated that he wanted the students appearing for board exams to reach timely at their respective centres.

After greeting Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and CM Mohan Yadav, the PM said, “Sabse pehle to mujhe yahan aane me vilambh hua, iske liye mai aap sabki kshama chahta hun. Vilambh isliye hua… kyon ki kal jab main yahan pahuncha, to ek baat dhyan me aayi, ki aaj dasvi or barahvi ke chatron ki exam hai aur uska samay aur mera Raj Bhawan se nikalne ka samay clash ho raha hai…(First of all, I apologize to all of you for my delay in arriving here. The delay happened because yesterday, when I was about to leave, I realized that the Class 10 and 12 students had their exams at the same time as my scheduled departure from Raj Bhavan.)”

Listen to PM’s entire speech here:

‘I left the Raj Bhawan 10-15 minutes late’

The PM concluded his apology saying, “Sambhavana thi ki security ke karan agar raste band ho jayen to bacchon ko exam dene ke liye jane me kathinayi ho jaye. Or ye kathinayi na ho, bacche sab ek baar apne examination centre par pahunch jaye, uske baad hi mai Raj Bhawan se niklu aisa maine socha. Isle karan mai Raj Bhawan se nikalne me hi 10-15 minute late kar diya, or uske karan jop aap logon ko asuvidha huyi, uske liye main aap logon se phir kashma mangta hun….

(There was a possibility that due to security reasons, roads might be blocked, which could cause difficulties for students trying to reach their examination centers. To ensure that they did not face any trouble, I decided to leave Raj Bhavan only after all the students had reached their exam centers. This led to a delay of 10-15 minutes in my departure, which in turn may have caused inconvenience to you all. For that, I sincerely apologize once again).

On the other hand, the guests and delegates accepted PM Modi’s apology with a thunder of clapping, quite noticeable during his address.

After the apology, the CM mentioned various milestones achieved by Madhya Pradesh, along with its potentials. After his speech, the PM left for Delhi.
