Dharamshala, September 4 (HS). Indian Forest Service 1992-batch officer Vinay Kumar has been appointed as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests of Telangana state. It is worth mentioning that Vinay Kumar, originally a resident of Badol Dadi in Dharamshala, is currently working as Director, International Cooperation in the Indian Council of Forestry Research Education, Dehradun, Ministry of Environment and Forests. He is also looking after the additional charge of Deputy Director General, Administration.

Vinay Kumar, a resident of Dharamshala, received his primary education from Dharamshala. He was a student of the first batch started in Sainik School Sujanpur. After this, he passed the postgraduate examination in forestry from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar Horticulture and Forestry University Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh and was selected in the Indian Forest Service (IFS).

After serving on many important posts, Vinay Kumar has now been promoted as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Telangana State, which is a matter of great pride for Himachal and especially Dharamshala.
