Madhya Pradesh: Dhar Outpost In-Charge Injured, Gets Three Stiches In Head | FP Photo

Dhar/Bagh (Madhya Pradesh): Dehri outpost in-charge suffered head injuries after being attacked by five to six miscreants in an inebriated state on Wednesday night, a police official confirmed. The outpost falls under Bagh police station in the district.

As per reports, police received information that five to six miscreants in an inebriated state, were causing ruckus by fighting among themselves at around 8 pm on Dehri-Longsari Road on Thursday night.

Afterwards, a head constable and a police official reached the spot to placate the situation. However, instead of fearing away from the police, they began to argue with them.

Meanwhile, Dehri outpost in-charge who was returning from Kukshi saw that the miscreants were arguing with the police. He also intervened and attempted to pacify the miscreants. They instead questioned policemen that who are they to intervene in their matter and resorted to pelting stones on them.

In the aftermath of the incident, outpost in-charge suffered head injuries and got three stitches around his head. However, according to Bagh police station in-charge Kailash Chouhan, the police personnel suffered only minor injuries in the head. Police have registered a case against six people under relevant sections of BNS.

The injured in-charge was immediately taken to the hospital. A raid was conducted by the police on Thursday night, leading to the arrest of five out of six accused including Jitendra, Barman, Mukesh, Kanha and Vishnu Parihar in the matter.

However, one accused Rahul Baghel is still at large. Police are currently searching for the absconding accused. After receiving information, SP Manoj Kumar Singh also reached the spot and sought information about the incident.
