Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Director General of Police Kailash Makwana extended New Year wishes to the force and asked them to maintain discipline in their work.
The DGP stated that the police would have to improve professional efficiency to maintain law and order and control crime. He appealed to policemen to demonstrate sensitivity, prompt action, and supremacy of law. He described cyber crime, increasing cases of drug abuse, and traffic accidents as serious challenges before the police. He directed the police station staff to ensure sensitive and prompt action to help victims.
The DGP said though 2024 was challenging for the police, many important achievements were made like conducting peaceful Lok Sabha election. He stated that chief minister Mohan Yadav had planned to run yoga and meditation programmes for the health and well-being of policemen.
The DGP described cyber crime, drug problem, and road accidents as major challenges and said that the activity of the police should be increased to deal with them.
Also, campaigns should be run to make the general public aware.

Prevention is better than cure. So, appropriate preventive measures should be taken on time. Use new technology: Increase use of modern technology. Effective functioning: Improve functioning in a planned and professional manner. Compliance: Ensure strict compliance of all laws and provisions. Sensitivity: Police station staff should be sensitive towards victims, women, and children and take prompt action.
